Getting the News

When I first got the news I was horrified. Here is the story of when I heard my family was gone for good.

My mom was gone at a crafting weekend at a camp. My grandma called the house, but she never called the house. let alone called at all even on cell. My dad was at work, and My brothers and I did not recognize the number so we did not answer. Maybe 30 minuets later my dad came home and so did my mom. They talked in the back room (which had glass doors) for a long while. That was the first time I had ever really seen my dad cry. When they were done talking they came into the living room. (My oldest brother was on a video chat with his friend while playing video games.) "Guys we need to talk, Don't worry, you're not in trouble." my dad said. My oldest brother about 14 at the time got of the computer. "Aunt Nicole and Uncle Scott's house burned down last night......" There was a second of silence. "Nobody made it out." I just burst. I couldn't stop crying. After a shower I sat down on the couch and watched Full House and ate pretzels. Apparently my parents told my BFF's parents because they came to my house. My BFF, Hannah just sat there beside me. She didn't try to cheer me up, she was herself. she tried stealing my food and she comforted me just by being there. Then my brothers and I went to her house, (My brothers are friends with her older brother) probably so my parents could figure everything out because my cousins lived in SD. The whole day the question I had was how. How did none of them hear the alarms going off? How could God let this happen? Why? Why me.

A few days later we are in SD at my grandma's house. I ended up going to my cousin Calli's house with her dad, so the funral plans could be made without the kids there. Little did i know that the FBI had been investigating. Calli's dad told us the news. We prayed and I kept my self from crying. Calli and I went to her room. (she has a bunk bed) I climbed up to the top, and she went on the bottom we cryed for a while.

It has been 3 years but some days the pain is worse then these days I wrote about.

Thanks For tuning in!
